The Italian provinces of Tuscany and Umbria provide food for the eyes and dreams for the heart. The majesty of their hill-towns combined with the beauty of their countryside form the pictures of FotoToscana.net. Since 2001, my wife and I have visited these provinces and have developed a deep appreciation for the warmth and friendliness of their people, the significance of their history and art.

We enjoy the customs of their culture, the beauty of their countryside and, the taste of their foods and wines. In our travels we have learned that Casa Bellavista, a wonderful Bed and Breakfast near the city of Cortona (of Under The Tuscan Sun fame) is an ideal location as a base from which daytrips to such hilltowns as Pienza, Montepulciano, Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico, Lucignano, Castiglone di Orcia, and the villages of Chianti Country can easily be made.
